My most desired Funko Pop toys

Funko Pop is slowly taking over the Earth.

Okay, maybe not. But they do have an incredible line-up of figurines. Literally everything from Star Wars to Star Trek, Marvel to DC, Disney to Warner, Ninja Turtles to Power Rangers, WWE to...Golden Girls?
The brilliant thing about Funko is that the licenses they get aren't always ones connected to current media. Golden Girls is a prime example. Heck, when they do make figures of different lines, they sometimes add rather obscure characters. Spikor from the He-Man/She-Ra Funko toys comes to mind. Thought personally I would have rather seen it be Mantenna.

And they aren't just a kid's thing. Horror icons have been made into figures, just the same as Satirday morning cartoon icons. It's awesome! But there's lots of franchises that haven't been made yet. Heck, we might as well use that oil in the ground for something!

Honourable mentions;
Darkwing Duck and Gravity Falls were both on this list until they were both announced to be upcoming Funko Pop sets. I kept Shantae off this list because I honestly think she will have an amiibo figure in the future. She's one of the few indy gaming characters who could easily warrant one. And finally, I have left Haven off this list, because I'm not sure if anyone remembers it. I know Stephen McNeil wants you to forget we ever had a film industry in Nova Scotia, but I'm getting off track. Heh.

Inhumanoids;
One of the lesser known Hasbro properties from the '80s, but one that reaches into your mind once you've seen it. The battle between the Earthcorp and the vile titans the Inhumanoids may rage again in IDW comics, so I'd say now's as good a time as any for the franchise to join it's cousins, the Transformers, the G.I. Joe and the Ponies on the Funko Pop shelf.

Food Fighters;
The '80s was home to many odd ball franchises. Espeically ones with two opposing sides. Barnyard Commandos and Army Ants come to mind. Rock Lords were definitely odd. But I think the one I want to see come back the most is Food Fighters. Food Fighters had no cartoon to help sell it, but you see the figures pop up everywhere. They were soft and hard plastic, which doesn't mesh well and featured some vehicles as well. The crazy battle of the Kitchen Commandos and the Refridgerator Rejects never ended. Maybe Funko can help decide the winner.

Power Rangers monsters;
I was originally going to list the Megazords under this list, but then I got to thinking. There's all this focus on MMPR these days, but we haven't had any new Evil Space Alien merch outside of the marquee baddies. Why not give a random monster-of-the-week like Lipsyncher or Silver Horns a chance? (With Silver Horns, they've got a chance for an easy recolour.

Better yet, why not give some select baddies from others seasons the Funko Pop treatment? I'd love to see something with Ecliptor.

UPDATE July 21st, 2018; Funko Pops for Pudgy Pig and Pumpkin Rapper confirmed for GameStop and EBGames.

Primal Rage;
Surprise, surprise, I'm adding Primal Rage to this list. All these years later, I still feel that Primal Rage could succeed if given the same treatment that Killer Instinct got in 2013 and still enjoys to this day, as of this writing. Maybe a few Dino-Gods appearing on the toy shelf could help give Primal Rage a little push back into the public's good graces.

Digimon;
With Digimon Adventure tri still ongoing, now could be a good time to make Digimon Funko Pops. We could get a big line, with both the Digi Destined and their Digimon partners. Heck, they might even be able to make them fit in the same box!

UPDATE July 21st, 2018; Tai, Agumon, Matt and Gabumon are all getting Funko Pops!

Dino-Riders;
With the rumblings over a possible movie revival (headed by Michael Bay, which admittingly makes me wary) the Dino-Riders would fit right in with the Funko brand. Funko vehicles, small and large figures are nothing new to the brand, and Dino-Riders could fit into all three.

Bucky O' Hare;
Since Bucky's series ended years ago, his revival has been attempted more than once. With the news of a new toyline, it seems that 2017 is the funky fresh rabbit's year. There's no reason he couldn't be a Funko fresh rabbit. (See what I did there?)

Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad;
Admittingly, Syber-Squad was MMPR on a smaller budget. A much smaller budget. But Servo, and his Japanese equivalent Gridman, are both well-remembered to this day. Who knows?

Samurai Pizza Cats;
One of my most beloved series as a kid, I always wanted there to be a Samurai Pizza Cats toyline as a kid. There was more than enough toys for its Japanese equivalent, Kyatto Ninden Teyandee, but never anything here.

Gon;
This little dino originated in a Japanese manga, and since has become beloved the world over. He even scored a guest fighter slot in Tekken 3, years before Soul Calibur popularized guest characters.

Bone;
One of the greatest indy comics of almost thirty years, Bone has been adored since it launched in 1991. With it's twenty-sixth anniversary coming in July, what better way to celebrate than to launch some brand new Funko Pops.

Cloverfield;
One big figure of the 2008 monster, with some little monsters perhaps. They could do a variant with the monster screaming, like Hasbro did back in the day.

Beast Wars;
Perhaps only second to the original G1 itself, Beast Wars was the second ever fully 3D animated series and won over young fans with its dynamic storytelling, despite having a fraction of G1's character roster. To this day, we still see characters like Optimus Primal, Rattrap, Rhinox, Cheetor, Dinobot, Blackarachnia, and Waspinator pop up in various forms. Why not have them Pop up in Funko form?

And for that matter, why not make a Beast Machines lines? I honestly think Beast Wars' sequel series is more appreciated now than when it originally aired. Now might be a good time to show it some love. Yyyyyeeesssssss. (See what I did there?)

Nintendo;
Seriously, how has this not happened yet? Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon, Metroid (but more likely Splatoon), any single license from Nintendo would be a cash cow. Nintendo has certainly jumped on the toy bandwagon in recent years, it's not unfeasible to think this could be awesome if it happened.

UPDATE July 21st, 2018; Pikachu is getting a Funko Pop figure! At Target...

And that's my list, what do you think Funko? Lol.
